Train tracks. When I was little I was always fascinated by them. Where they were going. What they had seen. What they have gone through. I wondered if anyone else was noticing them the way I was. There’s something about the train tracks that made me feel like I was in the center of everything, like I could go anywhere. The world felt so full of possibility. As life went on I began to realize that things in life can get worse before they get better. Each path you take holds bumps and turns. Hurting, painfully but slowly making you and everyone your riding with stronger. With everything life hands me, I feel my braking point coming. Like I’m on a path to my own destruction. But along the way, family, friends, loved ones, never fail to repeat the same phrase. “Stay Strong.” I took it for granted. Until I realized the true meaning of it. When all hope is lost, don’t give up on hope, on life, things will get worse before they can get better, because your never alone and in the end here is a light at the end of the tunnel.
